Under The Mekong



- Swim under the tunnel of fresh water among a huge group of various fish leading by a mekong Giant catfish, monster of mekong river. Face with a Chaopraya Giant Catfish, monster of Chaopraya River.



-The Mekong exhibit encompasses a vast system of tributaries that stretches from the Tibetan plateau and across 5 countries – China, Burma, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia –before spilling into the Mekong Delta in Vietnam.




A tour the Exhibit takes us under the surface of this magnificent waterway, so visitors can begin to appreciate the importance of the seventh longest river in Asia. Observe, discover, consider, and ultimately understand the cultural and environmental background of the Mekong. Ask questions and find answers as you navigate through the underwater tunnel that extends for over 66.5 meters. Marvel at the diversity under the river, and be reminded the may of the most beautiful and rare species may be on the brink of extinction unless appropriate action is taken to preserve this extra ordinary ecosystem.
